I first got introduced to reiki in 1994 in Vancouver and immediately fell in love with it. I felt it connected me more to my Spiritual side..Even as a child I was interested in the esoteric..So when I received my first attunement. I was astounded how much energy I could feel in my body and I started to see auras and energy more , I felt I had really connected to the reiki energy. I practiced on friends and relatives and my reiki energy kept getting stronger..It was exciting the more I used it on myself or with others the stronger the reiki energy became. I continued my studies and took the reiki level 2 in 1996. I learnt more information and symbols which seemed to really amplify the energy of the reiki..I was excited to learn how to do distant work and practiced on eager friends who had issues they wanted work on. The amazing thing was the reiki energy was really assisting and helping people deal with issues. I worked on a friend who was experiencing depression and anxiety and after the first session she said she had never felt so relaxed and after three sessions, no more anxiety or depression.The reiki energy was getting more powerful as I practiced giving sessions. The beautiful thing about reiki is you give a session and you receive a healing at the same time.
As time went by I was becoming more sensitive to energies and I was feeling the energy of others, seeing it and becoming more finely tuned to other spiritual levels of being. In 1999 I became reiki master then a reiki master teacher. It was such a gift for me to learn and be able to share the wonderful healing energies of reiki and at the same time continue to grow on my spiritual journey and allow the unfolding of life.I am honored to have reiki as an healing modality and something I use on myself daily. Every night as I fall asleep I give myself a session.The beautiful thing is every day I am still learning something new about this amazing form of energy healing. I am very blessed and grateful to share reiki with others and assist others on their spiritual healing journey.
