Participating in a wellness day using Reiki

A few weeks ago, I was invited to participate as a volunteer in a wellness day at a school in Vancouver, B.C. I offered three, 45 minute workshops to three classes of children between the ages of grade 2 to grade 4. I t was such an amazing experience, the students were very open and aware and excited to learn about Reiki. Children are directly connected to spirit and to get their interest was very easy. With the first group of grade 2 and 3's I gave a quick talk about reiki and how it is the universal energy all around us and a few minutes we were talking about what else was made from this energy. The children were mesmerized by this chat, then I introduced them to the reiki energy. One child saw the energy coming out of my hands as a purple light. I then went around the circle of about 20 children and gave them reiki in their hands, after we made an energy ball. The children were excited that they could feel the energy between their hands, they then partnered up and made a reiki energy ball and was quite astounded how they could feel heat, heaviness and colour some saw blue and white light. The next exercise we made a huge energy ball in the centre of the room. The children were laughing and having fun and enjoyed throwing their reiki ball into the centre of the room. Remarkably the children were able to sense, feel and see the energy ball in the centre of the room. The temperature in the room got a lot warmer and the children were fascinated with this energy ball. We gave the energy ball reiki
for a few minutes, then lifted it up and into the universe sending love and light to our family and friends and anyone else who needed it. Each group of students was a different experience and I had a fun day with these children.
I was very grateful for the experience and honored to share reiki with these aware children.
